Girls always want to have fun and their play kitchens are often an imagination outlet. As they grow older they mimic their environment and sometimes play parental figures. After all, it is quite traditional for children to enjoy baking things like cupcakes in their own bakery. The idea of mimicking their natural environment should be encouraged as it is in a way preparing them for the demands of their future lives.

As they get older, though, toy kitchens aren’t always the best outlet for their creativity, as it is only imagination. That’s why the Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker is the perfect play kitchen companion. The ideal chance for girls to express their creativity in a very real environment, this product is ideal for kids growing out of the pretend phase. There are few children who don’t enjoy real cupcake treats, and there hasn’t been a cupcake maker yet that most kids are willing to turn down. This one is little different.

The Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker is made for easy fun with no fuss but fun and thrills. Creation gives a great sense of achievements and self worth, thus boosting self-confidence to tackle other seemingly difficult tasks. Unlike toy kitchens, this toy comes with four cupcake mixes including red velvet, chocolate, yellow, and cinnamon sugar flavors. It also comes with frosting designed to be used with this cupcake maker. Frosting flavors include chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and cream cheese. Everything your little girl needs to create, cook, and frost the cupcakes. You’ll get an adorable bowl to mix the cupcakes, a spoon for measuring, and a tiny spatula to mix up the frosting and the batter itself. Additionally, you’ll get the container you need to cook the cupcakes and a frosting applicator. Pastel colored, it’s ideal for your little chef.

When your little baker is ready to go, mix up the provided cake mix with the water. Our testers found that you’ll probably want a fairly thick consistency. Put the batter in your cupcake cooking container, and place it all in the microwave for about thirty seconds. Keep in mind that these little cupcakes do get fairly hot, so you may want to help your little chef so they don’t burn themselves.

While the cupcake is in the microwave, it’s time to mix up the frosting. Remember that as with the cupcake itself, consistency is important, and you want it fairly firm to get good results. Place your cupcake on the base of the machine, put the frosting in the tube, and push the lever. The cupcake will spin, and the frosting will come out in a neat spiral. Kids can finish the process with sprinkles (which are included) or other treats you have around the house like chocolate candies.

These cupcakes are a bit smaller than normal sized ones, and you’ll want to have plenty of the mixes on hand to ensure your little baker never runs out, but it’s a great way for her to get a feel of real baking. You get four cupcakes in the box, and you can purchase as many additional mixes as you like. The Girl Gourmet Cupcake Maker is designed for kids aged eight and up, as it may be a bit complicated and frustrating for much smaller children.
